What is MAH CET MBA?

Maharashtra Common Entrance Test or MAH CET is a management entrance test. Officially known as MAH MBA/MMS-CET, the exam is conducted by the State Common Entrance Test Cell, Maharashtra, for admission to MBA courses in various institutes in the state of Maharashtra. The syllabus of MAH MBA CET exam includes  – Logical Reasoning, Abstract Reasoning, Quantitative Aptitude and Verbal Ability & Reading Comprehension.

MAH CET MBA is followed by Centralised Admission Process (CAP) or Counselling in which candidates will be allotted MBA seats in MAH CET participating colleges on the basis of their scores. Candidates having valid scores in CAT/GMAT/CMAT/MAT/XAT/ATMA can participate in MAH CET MBA counselling directly, for admission to MAH CET participating colleges.

Before MAH CET MBA registration, candidates should check the eligibility criteria carefully. Only eligible candidates are able to register for the exam. Maharashtra MBA CET eligibility criteria is given below.

Qualification

Candidates must be a graduate in any discipline from Universities recognised by University Grants Commission (UGC) and Association of Indian Universities (AIU)

Qualifying marks

  • The minimum percentage requirement in graduation is at least 50% marks in aggregate or equivalent while it is 45 per cent for candidates belonging to backward categories and Persons with Disability of Maharashtra State Only.

  • Final year degree candidates who have appeared for the exam are also allowed to apply for the exam.

  • Q: What is MAH MBA CET CAP?

    A: MAH CET admission process includes the entrance exam followed by Centralised Admission Process or CAP for allotment of seats in colleges accepting MAH CET scores for MBA/MMS/PGDM courses. The MBA CET CAP 2022 is being held from October 7 to November 23. 

    Q: Is MAH CET MBA CAP cut off-based?

    A: Yes, MAH MBA CET counselling is cut off-based which is held in June/July. MAH CET counselling is conducted round-wise. In this process, candidates have to register online, participate in online counselling and confirm admission by submission of documents and final admission by making fee payment.

    Q: Can I apply to colleges outside Maharashtra with MAH CET MBA 2022 score?

    A: No, institutes outside Maharashtra do not accept MAH CET score for admission. You can opt for reputed Maharashtra colleges such as JBIMS, SIMSREE, KJ Somaiya, PUMBA, etc.

    Q: What are the MAH MBA CET 2022 counselling dates?

    A: MAH MBA CET 2022 counselling process dates have been annouced. Candidates can register from October 7 to October 13. The round wise counselling process will go on till November 23, 2022.  

    Q: How can I check my MAH CET result 2022?

    A: MAH CET result was announced on September 11. The result is available for download on the official website of the exam.

    Q: What is the MAH MBA CET 2022 exam date?

    A: MBA CET 2022 exam dates are August 23, 24 and 25. Earlier (on March 26), the Maharashtra CET had announced MAH MBA CET 2022 exam dates as June 24, 25 and 26. The exam dates were revised and pushed to August on May 1. 

    Q: I don’t belong to Maharashtra state. Am I eligible for MAH CET MBA?

    A: Yes, you are eligible for MAH-CET exam under the All India Seats category. The registration, exam and counselling processes for All India Seats category students are same as that of Maharashtra State category candidates.

    Q: Who conducts MAH MBA CET? What are the application dates for MAH CET 2022?

    A: The MAH CET exam is conducted by State Common Entrance Test Cell, Maharashtra, also referred to as Maharashtra CET. Over 350 Maharashtra colleges participate in MAH CET counselling. The application form was released on March 17 and the last date to apply was April 7. The deadline was later extended till April 20.

    Q: What is the MAH CET application fees? Is there any fee relaxation for non-Maharashtra candidates?

    A: MAH CET application fee is INR 800 for Reserved and PwD category candidates from Maharashtra and INR 1,000 for students from rest of India. The fees is to be paid in online mode. There is no fee relaxation for non-Maharashtra candidates.

    Q: I have completed graduation from correspondence. Am I eligible to apply for MAH CET MBA?

    A: Yes, candidates who have completed graduation from correspondence are eligible to apply, provided they have scored 50 per cent in aggregate (45 per cent for Reserved category students) and the degree awarded is by a university recognized by the UGC.

    Q: What is the MAH CET MBA cut off for JBIMS admission?

    A: MAH CET cut off for JBIMS admission has been 99.98 percentile for All India category candidates for the past two years. The cut off for Maharashtra state candidates is lower for JBIMS.
